About Us
The Thrissur region was promulgated in 2003 and Rev. Sr. LissyPadakoottil was appointed as the first regional superior.(2003 -2006).The house at Thottathil Lane was the temporary regional house. Sr. Lissy was succeeded by Rev. Sr. Mary Varghese in the year 2006 – 2012 and her councillors were Rev. Srs. Cicily Thaithara and Lucy Vettickappally. Rev. Sr. Jaicy John was entrusted the region from 2012 to 2013 and the councillors were Sr. Mariya karukappally and Rev. Sr. Daisy Parankimalil .

MINISTRIES OF ST. MARY’S REGION
Parish ministry
We cooperate with the pastoral ministry of the local churches in its pastoral, liturgical, catechetical, and spiritual field. We render our parish services in 6 dioceses namely Thrissur, Ernakulam, Iringalakkuda, Pala, Idukki and Ramanathapuram. Parishes which get our services are Arthat, Lurd cathredral, Konikkara, puthukkad, Kozhukkully, Thiruvilwamala, vellanikod, (THRISSUR) Arippalam, Kaduppassery, (Iringalakkuda) Maryland (Idukki) Mannar (Pala) Kavundanpalayam (Ramanathapuram).
Family Ministry
Sisters visit families and give guidance. We also provide counselling services and lead prayer service.

Seven of our sisters provide services in health department
Education ministry
We have two schools in our region, Mary Matha I C S E Puthukkad and Christ New Life school Thiruvilwamala. 7 of our sisters work in other schools.
